After a busy 2022, we're starting the year off right! In February, Mod Interiors, Inc., a high-end architectural millwork contractor based out of Southeast Michigan, was acquired through a partnership between Big Shoulders Capital and Iroquois Industrial Group.
Mod Interiors was founded and successfully operated by Matt Gaglio and Don Megie for more than 40 years, completing high-end projects throughout Michigan. The owners were seeking a succession ownership group that would maintain high-quality standards and ingenuity, grow the business, and continue to develop the talented staff that Matt and Don put together.
Big Shoulders and IIG found a strategic fit for Mod in its portfolio and will be able to combine Mod's capabilities with the existing portfolio company, Savannah Industrial Solutions.
Brian Schroeder represented Big Shoulders and Shane Dittrich represented IIG in negotiations.
Congrats to all the parties involved but especially to our Sellers, Matt and Don. Matt will continue on in a role with Mod and had the following to say of Mid-States:
