My Journey into Investment Banking at Mid-States Advisors
Hello, Everyone! I am thrilled to share my journey and introduce myself as the newest member of the Mid-States Advisors team. My name is Fadi Sadik, and I have recently joined as an Investment Banking Analyst. I look forward to embarking on this exciting new chapter and wanted to take a moment to share a bit about myself with all of you.
Can you Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I'm a 28-year-old professional who is passionate about providing clients with top-notch service and business solutions to help them achieve their goals. My background is diverse, spanning seven years in the automotive industry, two years in commercial real estate, and some time in high-level strategic consulting. This blend of experiences has equipped me with a unique skill set that I'm eager to bring to my role as at Mid-States.
What is your previous work experience?
My career started in the automotive industry, where I worked at Aptiv (formerly Delphi), specializing in manufacturing, OEM assembly, and electrical wire harnesses. Over the years, I took on different roles, including managing key accounts and supply chain operations for off-road vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, and large-sized engine components. This experience taught me the art of handling complex, global transactions.
I also delved into the world of commercial real estate, focusing on acquisitions, sales, and strategic capital gains tax planning for properties in retail, industrial, and medical sectors. My experience in this sector was an invaluable lesson in finding the right investment opportunities to help clients reach their financial goals.
Before transitioning to investment banking, I gained insights into business operations through high-level strategic consulting, which provided me with a unique perspective into businesses of various sizes and their related financial intricacies.
What drove you to investment banking?
My journey into investment banking was driven by my passion for client-centered experiences and my desire to fully understand a business's financial performance. I've always been drawn to problem-solving and have a fascination with the financial side of the business as well as how financing operations works into it. Investment banking is the perfect avenue for me to bring these interests together, allowing me to create customized M&A and capital solutions for our clients. The ability to make a real impact on their business success is what motivates me every day.
What do you like about the lower middle market?
I see immense potential in the lower middle market. It's a segment that's often overlooked, and I believe there's a significant opportunity to make a difference here. At Mid-States Advisors, we're focusing on family-owned businesses of all sizes. It's a space that encourages collaboration with other professionals, creating a supportive community with a shared goal: helping business owners achieve the highest enterprise value for the businesses they've worked so hard to build.
When you're not working, where might people find you?
Outside of work, I'm all about staying active. I enjoy working out and playing sports like basketball, which helps me maintain consistency and mental accountability in various aspects of my life. Additionally, I find great joy in building personal and professional relationships through sports and social events. My free time is also dedicated to my family, traveling, and networking with professionals in various industries.
